Description
Khao tom breakfast, cold laundry returned folded, and big balcony rooms are the useful bits at Tiki Bar-KanTiang. It sits a short walk from Kantiang Bay, with Klong Chak, Nui Bay and Bamboo Beach all within scooter range.
The rooms are simple, roomy and properly clean, with air conditioning, soft towels and balconies handy for drying swimwear. This is budget accommodation, not a resort with infinity-pool theatrics (thankfully, nobody has made you photograph your breakfast beside a floating tray).
Mam runs the guesthouse with a practical grip on island logistics. Scooter hire, taxis, onward transport and south-island trips can be arranged here, which saves a surprising amount of faffing about on Kantiang’s steep little roads.
The laundry service is especially good for long-stay travellers: clothes come back washed, dried, fresh and neatly folded. Night noise carries around the building, so light sleepers should pack earplugs; the front balconies are still excellent for a quiet coffee once the road settles down.
