Description
A five-minute walk through the neighbouring hotel puts you on the beach, while Saladan’s restaurants and shops sit close enough to reach without turning the day into a transport project. Together Bungalow is a cheap, practical base for exploring the northern end of Koh Lanta.
The bungalows are large, shaded and built around small balconies with a table, chairs and space to dry beach gear. There is an outdoor tap for rinsing sand off your feet, which saves the room from becoming a small-scale excavation site.
A minimart, laundry, tours, shuttle transport and scooter rental sit on site, so the useful bits of island life are gathered in one stop. Daily room cleaning keeps longer stays from acquiring the atmosphere of a forgotten dive bag.
Stay here for an unfussy bungalow near the sand, Saladan and plenty of dinner options. The beach nearby has a strong low tide, so swimming is better timed around the water than assumed from the map.
