Description
Klong Khong Beach is a short walk through the neighbouring restaurant, with sunset close enough to make a lazy evening plan look impressively organised. Suwantana Lanta Houses sits in a flower-filled garden of bamboo huts and solid bungalows, set back from the beach noise.
Three bungalow types cover the sensible range. Bamboo huts keep things simple; stone rooms have fans and plenty of windows; air-conditioned units add hot water, a fridge and kettle. The beds are large and firm, and the brighter rooms feel roomy enough to unpack properly.
The fan bungalows get hot. Properly hot. Pick air-con if midday naps matter, or if you possess the normal human preference for not sleeping inside a saucepan.
Suksai’s little shop carries clothes and handmade bits, while Bulan has laundry nearby. Scooters are available on site, which is useful here because Klong Khong is pleasant to stay on and annoyingly spread out once you start chasing dinner elsewhere.
