Description
About 200 metres from Long Beach, Row House is a bare-bones budget stop with small ground-floor cottages, a tiny pool, and the sort of rough edges that explain the low spend. Rooms come with either air-con or a fan, plus a compact bathroom with hot water.
The location does the useful work here. Long Beach, massage shops, and the surrounding strip are close enough that hiring a scooter is optional. A scooter can be borrowed on site for a day, which saves a trudge along the main road in the afternoon heat.
Pick an air-conditioned room. Fan rooms trap heat, and the buildings are not sealed against Koh Lanta’s less invited wildlife: frogs, lizards, insects, and the occasional cockroach treat gaps as a formal invitation.
Row House suits backpackers counting baht and spending most daylight hours elsewhere. The pool is small, the cottages are cramped, and room condition varies sharply, so inspect the room before settling in. The tree growing through one bathroom is either a tropical quirk or a very determined landlord of its own.
