Palm Garden House
Description
A proper kitchen, mosquito-screened windows and a computer chair put Palm Garden House ahead of the usual ‘bungalow with a kettle’ arrangement. The apartments are set back in a green garden, with enough utensils and appliances for a month-long stay without inventing new uses for a spoon.
The beach is a short walk away, while the main road’s restaurants and bars sit close enough for dinner but far enough away to leave the nights to frogs and crickets. Relax Bay and Secret Beach are within easy reach, and a scooter turns the rest of Lanta into a manageable errand.
Rooms are clean, roomy and practical, with comfortable beds, good bathrooms and options that include private kitchens. Nature is part of the deal: expect geckos, ants and assorted small residents around the garden, because this is Koh Lanta and the insects did not receive the memo about indoor boundaries.
Palm Garden House suits long-stay remote workers and self-catering travellers who value quiet over poolside theatre. Book ahead in busy periods; the better-equipped apartments do not hang around.
