Old Town Cowboy
Description
Full Moon craft beer, cold glasses and a shelf of whiskey give Old Town Cowboy more purpose than the usual “one Chang and a phone scroll” stop. The western saloon decor is cheerfully overcommitted, with quirky toilets and music that keeps the room from turning into a waiting area for dinner.
The beer list leans into Phuket’s Full Moon brews, including Say Play IPA and Chatri IPA, alongside pale ales, bottled craft options and the standard Thai lagers. Coffee, soft drinks and bespoke cocktails cover the non-beer contingent, which is considerate of them.
Settle in for cards and a couple of whiskeys after the Old Town streets quiet down. The little frontage is good for watching the slow parade along the road, while the bar itself has the easy feel of a local pub.
Calamari tempura is the food order worth making here. Keep dinner plans elsewhere and treat Old Town Cowboy as an evening drinking stop with better beer than most of the island’s bars.
