Sunset drinks at Lanta Roundhouse come with Klong Nin Beach directly in front of you, driftwood underfoot and a soundtrack chosen by someone who clearly owns more than one good record. The outdoor seating feels more like a borrowed beach house than a bar, with quiet corners for a beer and enough space to settle in through dusk.
Breakfast is the sharpest reason to arrive early. Get the roasted-garlic hummus sourdough with balsamic tomatoes and feta, the chorizo omelette, or Nadia’s smoothie bowl. The shakshuka, feta eggs and tomato-feta salad have no business being this good in a place that also looks ready to wash out to sea during a spirited tide.
Paul’s curries and homemade naan turn the evening menu into proper dinner territory, while the burger and chips cover the less philosophical hunger. Ask what’s cooking that night; the kitchen leans into small-batch, home-style dishes.
The rooms sit right by the beach, and the Roundhouse has the loose, sociable feel of Old Koh Lanta. Paul and Nadia are part of the point here, not background furniture. The wooden furniture has exposed nails in places, so keep bare feet and wandering knees under adult supervision.
