New Harry's Sunset Beach Bungalows
Description
Sand toys under the shade, a cold beer from the beach bar, and the sea directly beyond the loungers: New Harry’s keeps the useful parts of a Lanta beach day within flip-flop range. The bar also serves food and drinks, so lunch needn’t involve abandoning a perfectly good patch of sand.
The bungalows are compact, basic and air-conditioned, with a fridge, kettle, cups and a wardrobe. Beds are the pleasant surprise here – properly comfortable, which matters after a day of swimming and pretending sunscreen was optional.
This stretch of beach has shade, loungers and room for children to get busy with sand toys. Families will get more from it than honeymooners hunting for polished resort theatre. The bathrooms are plain, shower pressure is weak, and the rooms feel small once luggage arrives.
A 7-Eleven sits across the road, alongside cafes, pancake stops and plenty of places for dinner or a late drink. New Harry’s lands best as an uncomplicated beach base: sleep, swim, eat, repeat, with the beach bar doing its bit between each important appointment.
