Description

Nok is the person to ask for, especially if you need to extend a rental without trekking back across the island. WhatsApp handles extensions neatly, leaving more time for beaches, coffee stops and the essential task of deciding which roadside noodle stall has won today.
The car wash is the other strong reason to stop. A proper detailed clean shifts the red island dust, sandy footwells and whatever nature has glued to the windscreen after a week on Lanta roads.
Boat trips are also available, though scooter hire is the sharper bet here. Check the brakes before taking the long run south towards the lighthouse and Mu Ko Lanta National Park, where the roads stop pretending they were designed for leisurely sightseeing.
