Upper-floor rooms are the pick, especially the double-aspect ones with broad balconies facing the jungle. Morning coffee can include monkeys on the railings, which beats scrolling through another breakfast buffet photo (the monkeys remain unconvinced by your itinerary).
The cafe handles pastries, breakfast and room delivery, while scooter rental puts both northern Saladan and the southern beaches within easy reach. The hotel also runs a free transfer to Lanta Nice Beach Resort, where the pool and beachfront setup are located.
This suits a budget stay built around exploring the island, not an afternoon parked beside a private pool. The internal staircases are steep and slippery, so upper floors reward light packers with better balconies.
