The setting sits back from the island road among greenery and local homes, around a 15-minute walk from the beach. It is properly quiet, apart from chickens and the occasional animal soundtrack, which is Koh Lanta refusing to install soundproofing.
Nen runs the place with his family, and scooters, laundry and transport bookings are available on site. The bungalow terraces have shade and privacy from bushes, and the refill water, tea and coffee remove several small daily errands from the holiday.
This fits solo travellers, couples and remote workers settling in for a week or longer, not anyone determined to walk everywhere. The rooms are functional, with firm beds, mosquito nets and plenty of hooks for wet beach gear.
