Kantiang Seahorse Resort & Spa
Description
A shaded pool above Kantiang Bay and steps straight down to the sand give Kantiang Seahorse its best argument. The sea-view bungalows catch the whole curve of the bay, while the separate cabins keep neighbours at a civilised distance.
The setting is for slow days: pool, beach, cold beer at the seafront bar, then dinner looking over the water. The restaurant handles Thai staples and easy holiday food well, and the terrace is the place to linger after sunset. Motorbike rental and island trips are available on site, useful this far down the island.
Rooms range from solid wooden bungalows to dated cabins with tired fittings. Pick a sea-view or upper room where possible; the outlook does plenty of work, as views tend to when humans have failed to improve upon geology.
Kantiang Bay is quiet, green and far from Saladan’s traffic, with a few restaurants nearby for a change of scene. The resort suits a beach-first stay with kids or a couple of unhurried days, not a polished boutique-hotel escape.
