Isara Lanta Beach Resort
Description
Robert’s homemade sausages, schnitzel and Saturday Bundesliga give Isara Lanta a distinctly German streak, while the kitchen also turns out proper pad thai and chicken cashew. The beach bar faces the sunset, with cold beers, cocktails and the sea close enough to make footwear feel optimistic.
The bungalows sit directly behind the sand. Expect simple brick or bamboo rooms, private bathrooms, air-con or fans depending on the unit, and hammocks outside some doors. Deluxe bungalows are the pick for a more comfortable stay; the cheaper huts are basic and built for beach time, not interior design awards.
This stretch of beach stays quiet, and the bar is the social centre after dark. Saturday football draws a German-speaking crowd, though a sangria by the water requires no knowledge of the offside rule – a rare mercy in modern civilisation.
Food is the stronger reason to linger than the room itself. Stay here for a low-key beach base with Thai and German comfort food on site, then claim a sunset seat before the bar fills up.
