Description
Frozen mango margaritas made with fresh mango and properly sharp daiquiris are Frankie’s calling card on Klong Khong Beach. The piña colada, Mai Thai and mojitos land with balance, not the sugary wallop that sends a holiday sideways before dinner.
Bean bags face the sea, chilled music stays in its lane, and sunset is the correct time to claim a seat. Frankie also mixes off-menu creations, so leave room for a curveball with a name nobody back home will believe.
There is no kitchen here. Food comes from the neighbouring Thai restaurant, including grilled red snapper from the barbecue, while Frankie’s handles the cold beers and cocktails. A sensible division of labour – fish should be grilled by someone near a grill.
