Clean Beach Resort
Description
Klong Nin Beach sits across the road, with the resort’s beachfront restaurant catching the sunset over the sand. The pool is the better daytime base: surrounded by dense garden planting, with enough space to escape the road for a while.
Rooms are large, clean and simple, with kettles and hairdryers in many of them. Garden bungalows feel tucked into the foliage, complete with the island’s usual supporting cast of geckos and rustling leaves. Premium rooms look dated, and traffic noise reaches the roadside units.
Breakfast has the view, which does a fair bit of work for it. For stronger meals, Klong Nin’s roadside restaurants and market stalls are close enough to reach without turning transport into a minor expedition.
The hard beds and weak showers will bother anyone who treats a hotel mattress as sacred architecture. This place suits beach-focused stays at a sensible price, with a pool for the hot middle hours and Klong Nin’s long, walkable strip outside the gate.
