Description
Private terraces, a fridge cleaner than most island kitchens, and a beach shortcut put Bluewave Bungalow ahead of the usual roadside room. The bungalows are simple, tidy and quiet, with enough outdoor space to make a slow morning feel entirely defensible.
The beach is about a minute away by the little path, with bars, restaurants and a 7-Eleven close enough for supplies. That puts you in a handy stretch for scooter days around Lanta, then back home before the road dust becomes part of your personality.
Coffee, tea, water and small pastries are laid out in the morning, and there are smoothies for the post-beach lull. Scooter rental is on site, and airport or port transfers can be arranged, which removes the need to negotiate transport while carrying a backpack and a newly acquired sunburn.
Book an air-conditioned bungalow in the hot months. The non-AC family room holds heat, its windows do not open, and sleeping with the door open is a poor substitute for climate control.
