Aquablue Villa
Description
Three en-suite bedrooms sit above the water at Aquablue Villa, with the sea moving under the floorboards and sunrise squarely off the back deck. It is an Old Town house for lingering, not merely sleeping between island excursions.
The deck is the trump card. Coffee there before the heat builds is one of Koh Lanta’s better morning arrangements, and the view holds up through a slow lunch and a quiet evening. The house has proper room for a group, with a good-sized kitchen, cooking equipment, spices and drinking water already in place.
Each bedroom has its own bathroom and a small desk, so three couples can share the place without negotiating toothbrush territory. The Thai wooden-house character is part of the deal, along with the wide-open waterfront setting.
Old Town restaurants and the piers for island trips are close, while the house remains tucked into the quieter side of the village. A scooter rental sits next door, which saves turning grocery runs into a tropical endurance event. The best seats are on that back deck, where the tide, fishing boats and first light do all the decorating.
