Description
Pool-view bungalows put the Andaman Sea, the resort pool and sunset beanbags within roughly one lazy flip-flop journey of each other. This is the room category to book; roadside standard rooms face traffic and carry the older, more basic side of the property.
The pool is large, clean and the centre of the place after a hot scooter day. Beachfront rooms and chalets get the better outlook, while the beach itself is rocky underfoot in places. Sunset from the pool deck is the reason to linger.
Rooms are spacious with air conditioning, but the resort has been around long enough to remember when bathroom tiles had ambitions. Pool-facing bungalows offer the most comfortable base, though neighbouring rooms share thin walls and plugs beside the bed are scarce.
Saladan’s shops, eateries and a 7-Eleven sit close by, so this works well for a low-effort stay without disappearing into the middle of the island. The on-site restaurant and bar cover cold drinks by the water; save breakfast for somewhere with a sharper idea of what eggs should be doing.
