Description

Sunflower-seed sourdough is the thing to buy here, with a properly moist crumb and enough bite to survive the trip home. The smoked chicken sandwich puts that bread to work, and the cheesy loaf is dangerously easy to finish before coffee arrives.

Mango turns up in more places than expected: house-made jam, a sweet Pasta Frola, ice cream, and coconut condensed milk on sourdough. The protein brownie and overnight oats cover the lighter breakfast end, while mozzarella with garlicky tomato jam is the sort of menu idea that sounds odd until it vanishes.

Inside, vintage chairs, lamps, plants, a big rug and an eccentric mirror create a café that feels assembled by someone with excellent taste and limited interest in matching furniture. Air-conditioning, strong Wi-Fi and a quiet room make it one of the island’s better places to park a laptop for an afternoon.

Cold brew is the coffee order, especially in Lanta heat. Weirdough sits right on the main road, yet the green interior feels removed from the traffic by several thousand houseplants.
