Description
Three LG washers and three dryers handle loads up to 13kg, which is enough to rescue a week’s worth of damp island clothing in one hit. The machines are new, clean, and paired with English instructions, a coin-change machine, detergent and softener vending, plus free Wi-Fi.
The touchscreen setup is more elaborate than it needs to be: select a programme, then press the machine controls anyway. Once running, though, the place is straightforward. Liquid detergent is the format here, so leave the powder for a more ceremonial occasion.
Laundry can be done self-service or left for washing and drying while you get on with Klong Nin. Choose hot, warm, or cold washing and set the drying time; collect everything later from the counter. The dryers need enough time for heavy towels, denim, and the sort of beachwear that has absorbed half the Andaman Sea.
This is the useful Klong Nin stop for long-stay travellers, scooters full of wet clothes, and anyone whose bungalow rail has reached capacity. The coin machine saves the usual hunt through pockets for baht while holding a bag of laundry the size of a small hostage situation.
