It sits beside Cha Da Lanta Resort, so it is especially useful for anyone based around Klong Dao who has discovered the minibar contains optimism and little else.
The shop is small, well stocked and cheap enough for daily drinks, crisps, instant noodles and beach supplies. Laundry is available too, though bright clothes need to accept a slightly adventurous future. The ATM outside saves a separate run into Saladan when cash has vanished into coconut shakes.
Scooter rental is the stronger reason to remember the place. The bikes are straightforward, and picking one up alongside water and sunscreen is pleasingly efficient. Check the bike over, photograph it, and make sure the brakes and lights are working before pointing it down the island – Koh Lanta’s roads do not reward optimism.
Transport tickets are also sold here, including routes through Trang and onward to Hat Yai. Use it as a practical base for supplies, wheels and onward travel, with Cha Da Lanta Resort as the useful landmark.
