Rawi Warin Grand Ship
Description
A broken hull held together by rope sits beside Lanta Old Town Pier, rocking with the tide and looking increasingly committed to becoming driftwood. The remaining timbers make a quick, atmospheric photo stop, especially with the sea moving around them.
Don’t arrive expecting a preserved wreck or a grand maritime relic. Much of the ship has gone, and the split hull is the whole story. That story takes about five minutes, unless you are the sort who can photograph wet wood from seventeen angles.
The lobster statue beside the pier gives the stop a second target for the camera, and Old Town’s waterfront setting does the rest. Pair it with a slow walk along the pier and the old wooden shopfronts.
Wind hits this stretch hard, and the boards and shoreline are exposed. The best frame catches the rope-tied hull against the water, with the Old Town pier just beyond it.
