Description
A 14kg washer handles the sort of laundry bag that has been fermenting quietly at the bottom of a scooter basket. Otteri has several machine sizes, dryers, coin changers, QR payment, detergent vending, and clear wall instructions.
The place is built for self-service, not ceremony. Wash cycles are short, so heavily soiled clothes need a second warm wash before drying. Liquid detergent is the sensible choice; powder has all the charm of sand in a gearbox.
Big hotel towels and family loads fit here far better than in-room sink washing. There are seats inside, parking outside, and a 7-Eleven across the road for detergent or snacks while the machines spin.
Machines fill up fast around the middle of the day, especially with large loads in circulation. Evening gives you more room to spread out, and the bigger washers are worth using when you have a week’s island wardrobe to rescue.
