Local Lanta Scuba
Description
Seahorses within five minutes and Koh Haa on the slate – Local Lanta Scuba goes looking for the small stuff as keenly as the headline fish. Edmund knows the dive sites well enough to point out both, which is rather more useful than a guide who treats every coral head as a surprise.
Beginners get the kind of patient, unhurried coaching that stops a first descent becoming an accidental audition for submarine panic. Ed and Mike explain skills clearly, repeat them without fuss, and put serious attention into buoyancy and comfort in the water.
The setup stays small and personal. Gear fitting gets proper attention, with long wetsuits available, and dive days include island pickup, breakfast, lunch and snacks. The speedboat ride to the sites is short, so more of the day happens underwater.
Experienced divers should book fun dives with Ed for his eye for marine life and his knowledge of Koh Haa, Koh Hoo and the less obvious corners of local sites. Sunset beers outside the little shop are a fine post-dive ritual, provided nobody starts explaining nitrogen loading after the second one.
