Let's Sea By The Water
Description
Barracuda steak with chips, white snapper in garlic and pepper, and grilled squid in garlic butter give Let’s Sea By The Water more range than the usual Saladan seafood stop. The mixed seafood platter arrives with basil rice and salad, while the spicy coconut soup has enough punch to justify a second spoonful.
The tables sit beside the old wooden pier, facing the boats moving through Saladan’s waterfront. Lunch is good here too: Vietnamese spring rolls and khao pad moo under cover, with a proper view.
Thai cooking shares space with steaks, fish and chips, homemade baguette, chicken satay, and a wine list that takes dinner seriously. The Tom Yum Martini and lemongrass tea are the right opening move before seafood starts arriving with alarming confidence.
Seafood is the point, especially for a long dinner by the water. Arrive hungry enough for the platter; the garlic prawns have a habit of turning a sensible meal into a repeat order.
