Lanta Zipline
Description
Thirteen platforms through the hillside canopy, with mangrove views breaking through the trees, give Lanta Zipline more scenery than pure adrenaline. The longer course is the one to take; the shorter run is over before your holiday playlist has found its chorus.
Each rider brakes with a leather glove, so this is hands-on ziplining. There is a practice line first, then guides space everyone out across the course and handle photos and video on your phone. Nervous riders can go tandem, which removes the heroic pressure without removing the view.
The base sits up a steep hill, but the team collects riders from the bottom and drives them up. Hotel pickup is available too. After the course, cold drinks, fruit and wet towels are waiting, which is a sensible reward for gripping a cable while pretending this was always the plan.
Families with bigger kids will get plenty from it, especially first-time zipliners who want jungle canopy and steady instruction over giant drops. The long route moves quickly, so experienced zipline addicts chasing a full afternoon of high-wire drama should look elsewhere. That hillside view over the mangroves is why Lanta Zipline belongs on an island drive.
