Ko Lanta Diving Center
Description
Koh Haa, Koh Bida Nok and Hin Bida are the regular big-ticket sites here, with reef sharks, morays, sea snakes, shrimp, schooling fish and proper coral on the menu. Ko Lanta Diving Center runs a large, comfortable dive boat with breakfast and lunch aboard, plus a compressor on board for the serious kit-minded crowd.
Ondra is the name to request for first dives, Open Water training and anyone rebuilding confidence after a long break. Calm briefings, careful equipment help and a knack for finding the smaller reef residents take the panic out of scuba before it has time to unpack.
Dom is another excellent pick for experienced divers and refreshers, especially if you want a guide who reads the water without turning the day into a lecture. The team teaches in several European languages, including Czech, which is useful when trying to explain buoyancy with only holiday-level English.
This centre suits beginners who want proper instruction, certified divers chasing three-dive days, and families mixing snorkelling with courses. The boat has enough room to avoid the damp-wetsuit pile-up becoming a social experiment, and the Koh Haa runs are worth getting out of bed for.
