The self-service machines take a proper load, not three T-shirts and a towel pretending to be a wash. Need coins or powder? Both are available on site. The wash-dry-fold option returns clothes clean, sun-dried, fresh-smelling and folded into tidy stacks.
Stain removal is the useful trick here. Bring the shirt that acquired curry, scooter dust and an alarming new colour somewhere near Saladan; it has a fighting chance. Sun drying also keeps delicate fabrics away from the miniature inferno of a commercial dryer.
Prices are cheap, laundry is weighed for the service option, and the place is built for the unglamorous but necessary business of arriving back from a beach day with half Koh Lanta in your clothes.
