Apo Dhatu Divers
Description
Koh Haa’s lagoon, coral gardens and reef life are Apo Dhatu’s proper territory, with Koh Bida snorkel trips adding blacktip reef sharks to the family-friendly side of the menu. Certified divers get small guide groups, while first-timers get enough water time to stop gripping the regulator as though it owes them money.
Lulu is the name to know for nervous beginners and kids. Her SSI Basic Diver, Discover Scuba and Open Water sessions are energetic, patient and built around going at your own pace. Robin and Lookwa bring the same calm teaching style, particularly useful if a previous dive put you off.
The boat is large, with breakfast, lunch, water and electrolyte drinks onboard, plus hotel transfers arranged from Koh Lanta. Rental gear is in good condition, dive briefings are thorough, and the paperwork can be sorted electronically before the day.
Experienced divers should point their fins toward Koh Haa for seahorses, harlequin shrimp, lionfish, scorpionfish, moray eels, guitar sharks and the occasional leopard shark. Apo Dhatu is strongest for divers who want close guide attention.
