AHA Lanta Cozy Hostel
Description
Full blackout curtains, stable bunks and proper bedside storage make the dorms here unusually good for sleeping. Each bed has space for a laptop and belongings, while the rooms stay dark and quiet enough to recover from a day on the motorbike.
AHA sits in Sang Ga U, the last village before Koh Lanta National Park. The beach, 7-Eleven, small restaurants and scooter rental are a short walk away, leaving you close to the island’s southern beaches without camping beside a noisy strip of bars.
Breakfast includes notably good scrambled eggs, and the communal outdoor area has enough corners to read, stretch or meet fellow travellers without being drafted into hostel Olympics. Yoga mats are available, and laundry can be sorted on site. The dog and cat have correctly concluded that this is their house.
Pick AHA for a peaceful base, solo downtime and easy access to the national park end of the island. Social life happens naturally around the shared spaces; planned activities are not part of the deal. The air conditioning can be loud, so light sleepers should pack earplugs for the mechanical aria.
