The Honeymoon Room sits about a metre from the sand, close enough for the waves to handle the bedtime soundtrack. Lanta Beachfront Resort is for slow beach days: a small pool, shaded loungers, beanbags facing the sea, and sunsets best viewed with something cold from the bamboo bar.
Nando, Grace and Chris keep the place feeling personal, while the grounds stay green and tidy around the bungalows. Massage, scooter hire, laundry and island trips can all be sorted on site, which removes the usual holiday faff without turning the place into a concierge circus.
Rooms range from pretty, well-equipped bungalows to standard units with basic, dated bathrooms. Book the better room category if the bathroom matters to you; the beachfront setting is the reason to stay, and it delivers without needing a PowerPoint presentation.
The restaurant keeps the menu focused, the bar has proper sea views, and the pool is a useful retreat after a dusty scooter loop around the island. Mushroom Bar next door can be loud deep into the night, especially in the beachfront bungalows, so choose a room set back from the sand.
