Scandinavian Beach Resort
Description
Meatballs with smashed potatoes, a pineapple Mai Tai, and Klong Khong’s sunset straight off the beanbags – Scandinavian Beach Resort knows its assignment. The beach bar is the strongest reason to stop, with properly mixed cocktails, smoothies, and sea views that do most of the talking.
The bungalows are simple, but the useful bits land: big comfortable beds, strong air-con, good storage, and porches close enough to hear the water. Ask for a sea-view room if that matters; this stretch earns its sunsets without requiring a motivational quote on a signboard.
It sits at the quieter end of Klong Khong, close to the beach bars and restaurants without putting a bass speaker beneath your pillow. Raata Bar and Fin Stoned Bar are nearby, while the resort’s own food leans Scandinavian, with the meatballs the clear target.
The shore directly outside gets rocky at low tide, so treat it as a sunset-and-drinks beach first. For an easy swim, walk along the sand towards the less rocky sections.
