Lanta Corner Resort
Description
Sunset from the west-facing villas is the whole point here: sea, limestone silhouettes, and a sky that puts most phone cameras into a mild panic. Lanta Corner sits on a quiet stretch of coast, well away from Saladan’s bustle, with ocean views from rooms and the large central pool.
Premium pool rooms add a small pool directly outside and a deep bathtub inside. Standard bungalows are roomy, with proper beds, big bathrooms and terraces facing the water. Breakfast covers Thai and Western basics, with enough rotation to prevent six consecutive days of egg-based philosophy.
The shoreline below is rocky. Fine for a wander, sunbathing and watching the tide rearrange itself; leave swimming for another beach. Beach bars and a quieter sandy stretch sit within walking distance.
A scooter changes the stay completely, because the resort is secluded and the island’s food, beaches and shops are spread out. Pick a sea-view room for the sunset, or a pool room if private floating beats climbing down to the coast.
