The Monkey Lanta Tour
Description
Private longtail trips to Koh Mook, Koh Kradan, Koh Chuak and Koh Ngai are the reason to stop here. Leaving early puts Emerald Cave before the flotilla arrives, and a private boat means the beach time belongs to your group, not a laminated itinerary.
Tom and his family run the operation opposite Rawi Warin, covering boat days, scooters, laundry, petrol and airport transfers from one small roadside base. WhatsApp booking keeps the logistics simple, which matters on an island where a “quick transfer” can become a small expedition involving three vehicles and somebody’s cousin.
Koh Mah suits a half-day snorkel run, with several reef stops and fruit on the boat. Koh Rok is the bigger full-day commitment, aimed at snorkellers chasing clownfish, moray eels and proper coral.
Scooters are a strong side business here, with well-kept Yamaha bikes for exploring the coast at your own speed. Families with young children benefit most from the private boats and taxis, especially for fitting island time around naps, ferry connections and airport departures.
