Dahla Lanta Hut
Description
Hammocks on private verandas, monkey calls in the morning, and a five-minute walk to the beach: Dahla Lanta Hut does the low-key Klong Nin stay properly. The bungalows sit among dense greenery, close enough to restaurants and the main road without importing their noise.
Choose an air-conditioned concrete bungalow for a comfortable bed, proper blankets, extra pillows and a roomy bathroom. The older wooden huts are cheaper and more rustic, with fans, so pack a tolerance for heat and the occasional mosquito in the bathroom.
Scooters, laundry and gas are available on site, which saves a surprisingly tedious detour on an island where errands can become a half-day expedition. Tea and coffee hot water is available in the morning, and the verandas are made for doing absolutely nothing with admirable commitment.
This place belongs to budget-minded long-stayers, solo travellers and anyone who wants jungle sounds over pool-bar music. The beach, Klong Nin restaurants and shops are close; the hut still feels tucked into the trees.
