Peace Tara House
Description
Balcony rooms at the back look over a small stream where monitor lizards and birds get on with their day, entirely unaware they are providing free entertainment. Those rooms are quiet at night too, which matters on Klong Nin’s road strip.
The beach is a couple of minutes away via the rear bridge, with beachfront bars and restaurants close enough that transport becomes optional. Klong Nin has the relaxed, spread-out feel many parts of Lanta lost years ago.
Rooms are large, modern and meticulously kept, with daily housekeeping available. The deluxe balcony rooms are the pick, and the hard beds follow Thailand’s national commitment to spinal alignment.
Scooters, laundry, taxis and boat trips can all be arranged here, while the sister property’s beachfront pool and sun loungers add a useful upgrade. Road-facing rooms catch traffic noise, and the pool sits about a kilometre away, so book a rear balcony room if sleeping matters more than watching pickup trucks pass.
