Rattana Resort
Description
The multi-tier pool with slides is the reason Rattana Resort exists on the map. It gives Koh Lanta Noi a rare family splash stop, with enough room for children to burn through several years of stored-up energy.
The resort sits in a quiet, sparse stretch near an empty local beach and soft sunset light. Monkeys regularly gather around the pool area, so keep snacks in the room and phones attached to hands. They are small, quick, and entirely uninterested in your holiday insurance.
Waterfall rooms are the pick here, with newer interiors and a cleaner finish than the older cottages. The accommodation is basic, with compact bathrooms and little nearby for meals, shopping or evening wandering.
A scooter or car changes the stay completely. Koh Lanta Yai’s restaurants, night market and busier beaches are a drive away, while the local beach is for silence, a swim and very little else. The pool slides and the lonely beach make this a useful base for families happy to bring their own transport.
