Cashewnut Tree Resort
Description
A shady garden full of cashew trees, swings and resident wildlife sits a few minutes from Ba Kan Tiang Beach. The bungalows feel tucked into the greenery, with proper beds, strong air-con, mini-fridges and tea, coffee and water in the room.
Sara and Matteo know the south of Koh Lanta properly. They sort scooters, island trips, ferry connections and transfers, then point you towards the local food and beach spots worth your evening. Breakfast can be arranged ahead for early departures.
Ba Kan Tiang’s restaurants, bars, shops and 7-Eleven are close enough to reach on foot, while the resort stays quiet behind its short rocky approach. Monkeys, monitor lizards, frogs and birds pass through the garden; Som the cat appears to regard the whole operation as a mildly successful extension of his territory.
Stay here for a relaxed base in Kantiang, especially for a longer stretch down south. The beach is nearby, though its sand offers very little shade, so late afternoon is the sensible slot.
