Cascade Hills Bungalows
Description
Two air-conditioners, a proper western mattress, a full-size fridge-freezer and fast internet put Cascade Hills well ahead of the usual southern-Lanta bungalow equation. These are new one-bedroom apartments with a separate living room, smart TV, desk, compact kitchen, walk-in shower, terrace and a small private garden.
The setting is at the foot of the hills near Khlong Chak, with jungle at the back and elephant calls carrying through the trees in the morning. Klong Jak Beach is walkable, while Nui Bay, Kantiang Bay, Bamboo Beach and the national park sit close by on two wheels. South Lanta does quiet very well; this place has clearly read the manual.
Long stays make particular sense here. The desk, strong connection, generous indoor space and kitchen remove the usual need to live out of a backpack on a plastic chair. Restaurants are within walking distance, but a scooter turns the whole southern end of the island into an easy circuit.
Pick Cascade Hills for a peaceful base with apartment-level comfort, not a social beach-hut scene. The jungle-facing terrace is the bit that will ruin lesser balconies for you.
