A proper kitchen with a blender, toaster and room to cook dinner is the point of The Escape Apartments. These are big, finished apartments for staying put a while, not hotel rooms with a kettle pretending to be self-catering.
Klong Dao Beach sits a few minutes away on foot, with restaurants and bars along the main road. The apartments are set back from that road, so nights stay quiet. The shared pool earns its place after a scooter run or an afternoon in the sun.
Air-con, strong showers, soft towels and clean, spacious rooms cover the basics unusually well. Scooter parking is on site, and drinking water can be delivered. Electricity is charged separately, so long-stay air-con enthusiasts should not treat the remote as a constitutional right.
The two-bedroom units suit families and longer Koh Lanta stays, especially with Rainbow Muay Thai close by. Apartments face one another around the pool, so curtains matter if you prefer total privacy.
