Lanta Residence & Spa
Description
The fourth-floor rooftop pool is the reason to book Lanta Residence & Spa, especially after a hot afternoon around Saladan. It is paired with a small gym and ping-pong table, which is more equipment than most island stays manage without turning into a damp shed.
The better rooms are apartment-sized, with proper space for longer stays, balconies, kitchens, and multi-bedroom layouts. Families needing three bedrooms and two balconies will get far more breathing room here than in the usual beach bungalow arrangement. Rooms are clean, air-conditioned, and comfortably sized, though the interiors have seen a few high seasons.
Saladan’s supermarket and night-market food are a short walk away, while the ferry pier is close enough to keep arrival day painless. Klong Dao Beach needs a short tuk-tuk ride, so this is not the address for barefoot beach mornings. Scooters are available on site for exploring both ends of the island.
Breakfast is simple, with eggs cooked to order, and the roof pool has the sort of quiet that makes one extra lap seem entirely reasonable. Book an upper-floor apartment if the balcony matters; the large family units are the sharpest deal in the building.
