La Chambre Boutique
Description
Fresh bread from the bakery next door is the best alarm clock in Saladan, especially before an early ferry or dive boat. La Chambre Boutique sits a short walk from Saladan Pier, with the night market, dive shops, souvenir stalls and plenty of food nearby.
The rooms lean dark concrete and compact. Air-conditioning, hot water, fridges and a computer-to-TV setup cover the useful bits, while the beds are properly comfortable. Room 1 has more breathing room than the smallest units.
Stay here for a ferry stopover, a diving course base, or a few nights in the middle of Saladan. The pier-side location saves faffing about with luggage on arrival, then a scooter opens up the rest of Lanta.
Some rooms have corridor-facing windows or no exterior window, and the walls are thin. Saladan is practical; Klong Dao and Long Beach need two wheels. The Saturday market nearby gives the area its best evening excuse to linger.
