I-Style Lanta is a small family-run guesthouse near Klong Dao, with big bright rooms, balconies, air conditioning, fridges, drying racks and Wi-Fi strong enough for the tedious business of booking your next island.
The rooms sit back from the road in a quiet patch of local neighbourhood, close enough to walk to Klong Dao Beach, Saladan, the market, 7-Eleven and dinner. Crickets at night, birds over the palms, and no need to sleep above a bar pretending that bass is culture.
Kim and her husband know the island properly and can arrange scooters, transport, minivans and day trips. The pier pickup is particularly useful after a ferry crossing with a backpack that has somehow gained a small anvil.
Stay here for a calm, practical base with more space than the usual budget room and a balcony worth using. The terrace-facing rooms look across palms and open fields, which is a fine antidote to another concrete corridor.
