Goulash with extra chilli peppers is the food order. Larger dishes, including pork knee, need arranging ahead because a proper knee cannot be summoned from a beach bar at the speed of a toastie. Canned Pilsner is also available for the homesick and determined.
Martin is the useful local connection here. He sorts motorbike rentals, island trips, accommodation and transfers, and knows where to find the bits of Koh Lanta that don’t appear on a laminated tour board.
