Lanta Infinity Resort
Description
The upper rooms look across the pool towards the green hills, with big balconies that actually earn their square metres. Inside, they feel closer to compact studio apartments than standard beach-hotel boxes: kitchenette, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, safe, decent air-con and room to spread out.
Klong Nin Beach is a three- to five-minute walk away, while the resort sits off the main road behind enough greenery to keep the traffic noise out. The market, mini-marts, pharmacy, fruit stalls and local Thai food are close enough for a lazy evening stroll. A scooter gets you around the island quickly, and rentals are available on site.
The long pool is the centre of gravity here, edged by a leafy garden and backed by the hillside. Breakfast exists, though Klong Nin’s beach restaurants are the better morning plan. The pool chairs have seen a few seasons of tropical diplomacy.
Pick an upstairs room for the larger balcony and stronger Wi-Fi. Ground-floor rooms are handy for pool access, but the bathroom shower channel runs across the floor, so bare feet need to pay attention.
