Klong Dao Beach is barely a minute away from Lanta Cottage, with the pool and cottage terraces tucked just behind the sand. It is a useful base for beach days without being marooned at the far end of the island.
The rooms are roomy for the price, with air conditioning, a large fridge, tea and coffee, and a compact kitchenette corner. Terraces facing the big pool are the pick, especially for a lazy afternoon between swims. The pool is the property’s best feature when running; check its condition before committing if that is why you booked.
Restaurants, beach bars, a minimart and a 7-Eleven sit within a short walk, while the main road is close enough for dinner choices and scooter runs south. Scooters are available on site, and the pier transfer help is useful when departure day arrives with its usual charm.
Choose Lanta Cottage for space, a pool-facing terrace and easy Klong Dao access on a modest budget. The cottages are simple, and the bathrooms are the least impressive part of the setup.
