Description
Khlong Dao Beach is about a two-minute walk away, with 7-Eleven directly across the road and sunset bars close enough to make shoes optional. Lemonade Boutique Inn puts the useful bits of this stretch of Lanta right outside the door.
Private rooms are the stronger choice here: spacious, air-conditioned, with ensuite bathrooms, comfortable beds and balconies facing the road. Dorm beds have individual curtains, which gives backpackers a little privacy without pretending they have joined a monastery.
The ground-floor common area has a relaxed social feel, good for meeting fellow travellers or escaping the midday heat for a while. Laundry, scooter rental and help arranging island transport keep the practical chores in one place, leaving more time for the beach and the evening food stalls nearby.
Road-facing rooms catch early traffic noise, and balcony doors do little to mute it. Pack earplugs if morning engines ruin your sleep; the sunset at Khlong Dao is still the better alarm clock.
