Description
Sunset, a cold Chang, and a sand-floor seat on Klong Dao Beach are the whole point at Boogie Bay Bar. The beach sits directly out front, so the horizon does most of the decorating while you settle into a mojito.
Live bands and open-mic Sunday jams give the place its late-afternoon-to-night rhythm. Fire shows turn up after dark, and Jenga or Uno can occupy the gap between sunset and the first chorus. Free entry helps, because nobody needs a ticketing system between them and a reggae cover.
The kitchen punches above beach-bar expectations. Thai dishes and Western plates arrive properly presented, while the homemade Oreo ice cream is the sleeper hit on a menu built around drinks. Beer is the safer call here; cocktails arrive with considerable enthusiasm and little interest in diplomacy.
