Beach Home Lanta
Description
Breakfast arrives on your own veranda, with pancakes, coffee and Klong Nin beach directly beyond the sunbeds. That is a dangerously effective way to lose an entire morning, particularly once the sea has made a convincing case for cancelling ambition.
The beachfront deluxe rooms and kitchenette units are the ones to book. They open onto private terraces with chairs and loungers, and some add outdoor showers, microwaves, kettles and coffee machines. The beach is immediately outside the door, not across a road or through a garden pretending to be a shortcut.
Klong Nin is close enough for restaurant hopping, massages and a 7-Eleven run, while the rooms stay quiet after dark. Wi-Fi holds up for laptop time, and motorbikes and island trips can be arranged on site. Ask for Mona for taxi arrangements.
Some of the older rooms are smaller and dated, so don’t book by price alone. Pay for the beachfront deluxe or a kitchenette room, then use the private terrace for sunset.
