Best House
Description
Long Beach is about twenty steps away, reached through the neighbouring beachfront property, and Best House keeps the sleeping side quiet. The building is a simple two-storey block with a central corridor, large rooms and properly comfortable beds – a useful correction to the island’s occasional devotion to decorative bungalows.
Fan rooms have mosquito-screened windows and a large fan. Air-conditioned rooms add a fridge, which matters after a humid afternoon on the sand. There is no TV, so the room remains a room.
Everything is kept exceptionally clean, from the rooms to the shared areas. A small coffee spot handles the morning caffeine situation, while beach restaurants sit practically next door. Long Beach’s best stretch is close enough for a barefoot return before breakfast.
Best House suits independent stays that need a clean base, a big bed and immediate beach access without resort theatrics. Book an air-conditioned room if you plan to spend daylight hours indoors; fan rooms collect heat with the determination of a parked motorbike.
